Kerastase: Which Line To Choose?

Essence d’éclat

I would not consider Essence D’Eclat an oil, which is how Kérastase describes it.

It is an extremely lightweight, biphasic liquid spray that promises to protect hair from heat tools up to 230º and control frizz.

The indication is to shake well to mix the liquids. Its texture is light, but if you overdo it, it weighs heavily and leaves your hair dull and dry-looking.

Kérastase indicates to use up to 3 pumps of the product, and I advise you to respect this advice.

Concentré Essentiel

Concentré Essentiel is a concentrated natural oil serum that protects and seals fiber’s nutrition.

It is an extremely fragrant oil with a light texture, but it is not recommended to use it as a finisher because it weighs a lot on the hair.

 This serum can also be used as a hand massage oil, intensely nourishing the skin and nail cuticles. 

The composition of this oil is rich in vegetable oils such as avocado, coconut, almonds, jojoba, and sunflower, as well as plant extracts.

Crème de Boucles

Crème De Boucles is a curl-defining leave-in that I have tested and loved. It does not make hair heavy or greasy. It eliminates frizz and sets the hair in a very natural and beautiful way. 

Baume Miracle

The Baume Miracle from Aura Botanica will be your favorite product this summer! A multi-purpose balm to treat hair and skin with Brazil nut oil, Thai Rice bran oil, and Beeswax! 

Lait de Soie

I use it once a week and notice that these days the hair is super nourished and healthy.

Kerastase Blond Absolu Cicaflash Conditioner

This product is a fiber reconstructor with the power of a mask. It deeply nourishes the hair and reduces breakage with the repairing power of a mask with the lightness of a conditioner.

The hair is bright, light, and very soft. When I don’t wear the purple mask, I use this conditioner which is the best thing for dry blond hair.

Kerastase Blond Absolu Cicaplasme

The Ciclaplasme is an instant fiber treatment serum that unifies areas with the stress of discoloration to reduce breakage. It also acts as a thermal protector, seals the ends, providing lightness and can be applied to wet or dry hair. After the use of heat sources, the hair looks like satin with intense shine, totally soft and velvety feel. It can be used as a night treatment.

Kérastase Chronologiste

Suitable for: Fragile, worn and dried hair
Use to: Revitalize the scalp and capillary fiber

This Kerastase line is the luxurious collection of Kérastase. It promotes treatment of profound transformation and complete regeneration of the hair fiber and the scalp. It was developed for exceptionally fragile and dry hair. Kérastase named the effect as “reborn fiber” because of the antioxidant effect of nutrition and rebuilding, balancing the scalp.

Cristalliste is an excellent ally for those who have long hair, with oily roots and dry ends. This Kerasrase line has shampoo, conditioner, leave-in, and serum. Kerastase Cristalliste line treats the hair gently, removing excess greasiness and giving intense shine

This line was developed especially for women with long hair from 18 to 25 years old, who didn’t have a specific product for their hair type (oily at the root and dry at the ends).

The Bain Cristal line features Lumiere Liquide technology, consisting of 3 elements that preserve and protect the integrity of the cuticle layer, that is, deeply cleanse the hair, leaving it from the root to the tips.

For normal hair, oily at the root and sensitized at the tips, the ideal Kérastase product is Cristalliste. Unlike other products for deep cleaning, this line was developed not to dry the hair. A complete collection for long hair, which cleans deeply, leaving it light from the root to the tips.

Bain Cristal for Fine Hair

The shampoo provides a refreshing effect, leaving the hair loose, smelling, and well treated.

There are two shampoos for different hair types: Bain Crystal for fine hair and Bain Crystal Riche for thick hair. 

This is the deepest cleansing shampoo for oily hair. It, cleans the scalp and hair profoundly, leaving hyper-shiny and super silky hair. 

The Bain Cristal for thin hair is transparent with a very light texture. Cleans very well and does not leave hair dense or dry.

Masque CristalIn the Cristalliste line conditioner, I found the balance, because it moisturizes lightly without worsening the greasiness, cleans the oily roots and scalp very well, without leaving the rest of the hair rough or dry-looking. The hair is light, with a beautiful swing, fantastic aroma, and an incredible brightness.

Lait Cristal

Lait Cristal: Suitable for both straight and coarse hair, helps detangle, leaving light hair with a silky and shiny touch.

Kérastase Densifique

Suitable for: Оine and thinning hair
Use to: Treat density loss, brighten, and balance. For faster and healthier hair growth.

Densifique products are designed to give more strength and vitality to the hair. It is recommended for those with brittle hair. The highlight goes to the ampoule booster, concentrated solution that penetrates the hair fibers and gives more strength to very thin and opaque hair. Densify shampoo nourishes, cleanses and strengthens the hair.

It does what it promises. The first time I used, I was not so in love (just the smell). With time I was using it (and it should be about two months now) I was feeling that my hair was getting fuller as promised. Note that prolonged use is what makes the difference.

Fondant Densité

Enrich your hair with Kérastase Densify Conditioner, nourishing formula that improves the texture and volume of your hair without leaving it heavy. Containing moisture-retaining Hyaluronic Acid and Intra-Cylane, the refreshing softener professionally moisturizes each strand and improves volume, elevation, and strength. Masque Densifique

This mask is a treatment of hair restructuring, density, and growth. So, being very honest, don’t expect super hydration of this mask. If you are looking for a product that shows results in hydration and texture instantly, my advice is to go after Thérapiste.

Densimorphose

Densimorphose mousse is a dream when it comes to style hair with little volume. Its foam aims to give volume and body to the hair. You can apply the size of an orange on the hair. Distribute the mousse with a comb, from roots to ends. Then dry your hair. The results are impressive. With Densimorphose hair gets a lot of body, without the feeling of weight.

Serum Jeunesse

The shampoo is so good to use, makes a very creamy foam and does not leave the hair dry. This shampoo is pigment-free, so safe for all hair shades. The texture of the mask is very thick.

As soon as I finished drying my hair, the result I had was fascinating! The hair had a different texture as if each strand had been lightly varnished, hard to explain, but they were sealed, bright, and silky.

I love Uniq One, you know? I never thought I’d find a leave-in as good as it is! The Fluidissime surprised me a lot. The product speeds and facilitates the brushing process, does not weigh the hair, controls the volume very well, and sends the frizz far away.

Whenever I use it, I notice my hair extremely soft, with a lot of shine and movement.

Only a few sprays are required for each use, and the fragrance is wonderful chic, smooth, and lasting.

Kératine Thermique

It is a leave-in cream. Must be used on wet hair. It is a thermal protector, gives shine, and facilitates brushing.

Cleansing Conditioner Curl Idéal

Bain Elixir Ultime

Deep cleansing shampoo for daily use. During washing, its texture turns into a super light and fragrant mousse. This shampoo, even if you use it alone, gives a lot of shine to the hair. I thought it was very good, but I don’t think it has as much moisturizing and nourishing power as Bain Satin from the Nutritive line, for example. I found the effect more like Cristalliste, to give a lot of brightness. But I liked it, and it worked with my hair type.

Fondant Elixir Ultime

This is a conditioner for thin to normal hair. In its composition, we find Amla Seed Oil. Its formula helps in strengthening the hair fiber, as well as treating and conditioning the hair, without making them heavy. The Kerastase Nutritive Bain Magistral Shampoo

This shampoo has a very creamy texture and is very soft with the threads! It does not dry out, it does a lot of foam, it is recommended only for dry hair to dry out because of the extra hydration, but do not think it left oily hair because it was not the case, it cleans it very well!

The Kerastase Masque Magistral Hair Mask has a creamy texture, with a certain alloy, but is not very hard, which is the characteristic of the brand. After the rinse, even in wet hair, you already feel the faint strands. (I loved this sensation that the mask gave).

The Kérastase Nutritive Masquintense

This mask promotes an intense nutrition treatment. Although its formula is intense and concentrated, to deeply restore each strand, it does not weigh. The hair is repaired, with absolute softness, intense brightness, and lightness.

Nectar Thermique Kerastase

The texture of the Nectar Thermique Kerastase is excellent, thick, spreads well, and is not greasy. At the same time, it is a super moisturizing product, perfect for dry hair with a tendency to be rebellious. The result is a much smoother and soft hair, without roughness

Kerastase Nutritive Oleo-Relax Anti-Frizz 

When I used Kerastase Nutritive Oleo-Relax Anti-Frizz mask, my hair was very dry, and it left the hair super soft and silky. I loved the result.

Kerastase Nutritive Oleo-Relax, Smoothing Controlling Care

Kerastase Nutritive Oleo-Relax, Smoothing Controlling Care is very light, so it is absorbed in a few seconds. It smells like perfume. It is perfect for fine and dry threads.

After the dry hair, you can feel your hair very soft, spare, which is one of the promises of the line, but I missed a little more volume reduction. It may be the damage my hair suffered during the last discoloration, but I thought the hair might have been more settled.

There are two different masks from the same line. The Masque Chromatique Thick Hair is designed for thick hair and the Masque Chromatique Fine Hair, which is a nutrition mask for fine dyed hair. This is the main difference between these two masks. The one for fine hair is lighter when the mask for thick hair is heavier and even more oily.

Both masks are nutrition masks that leave the hair soft while enhancing the hair nuance intensity. I tried the one for thin hair.

Starting with the texture, it is very pasty, totally white and very fragrant! It has a very floral yet soft aroma.

It spreads well in the hair.

I felt that this mask had a high power of nutrition, leaving my hair very soft! Also, this mask left the hair a little thicker, typical of nutrition mask, but it did not get thick.

I found this mask to be wonderful and I think it will fit many types of hair! I let it act on my hair 15 minutes, then added a little bit more, leaving for five more minutes.

Kerastase Reflect Chroma Riche Masque

In addition to the shampoo’s functions of revealing a mirror shine and protecting the fiber, the Kerastase Reflect Chroma Riche mask  treats the fiber deeper, eliminating the dryness and leaving a hydrated touch. Maximizes hair color longevity and protects against antioxidants and fading. Perfect for the summer, because it provides UV protection.

If I liked it? Wow, and a lot !!! This mask is a super consistent cream. A little bit spread on the hands and well distributed in the hair already provides an incredible result. Even with wet hair, you feel that the dry spots are fading, there is no knot left. You feel the hair getting hydrated.

The Kerastase Fondant Chromatique Conditioner 

This is a multi-protecting treatment for color-treated or highlighted hair. Rebuilds the fiber of the colored hair, revealing a mirrored shine, making the hair lighter, voluptuous, radiant and shiny. Its Aqua-Ionic system surrounds the fiber with micro prisms that are responsible for transmitting light.

Fluide Chromatique

To complete the treatment for colored hair, we have the   Fluide Chromatique. With a consistent texture, this shampoo would last a long time. A little drop in the hand makes a lot of foam!

Kérastase Resistance Masque Force Architecte 

Kérastase Resistance Masque Force Architecte is a deep-rebuilding and treating mask for extremely damaged, brittle, split-pointed hair. Erosion level 3-4.

The product has a great texture, neither too thick being difficult to spread nor too soft that can be dripping. I took a little bit that I thought was enough for my hair, and it was very easy to spread all over it.

If you have extremely damaged hair, I highly recommend this mask as it treats hair from the inside out, giving your hair more strength, life, shine, and health. 

Kérastase Resistance Ciment Termique

It promises high thermal protection from the hairdryer and flat iron. It is a leave-in anti-break reconstructor, and anti split ends. Good right?

I will not say that I felt anything out of this world using it because I did not feel. That is not its purpose anyway. It is designed to protect the hair and at the same time, help to rebuild and strengthen the fiber. You will notice the results over time.

Now if your problem is more frizz, and dryness, then I recommend you the Loreal Liss Unlimited. But look: Ciment Thermique is also a treatment that helps rebuild, not reduce the frizz.

Kerastase Resistance Ciment Anti-usure

This product is medium density, medium profitability, and has the same aroma as the rest of the line.

Kérastase knows that damaged hair needs a personalized plan to grow stronger. Using Taurine-enriched Creatine R ™ technology, the Extentioniste routine stimulates the scalp, visibly strengthens the length and seals the ends. The hair is strengthened, healthy, with fewer split ends and less breakage.

Kerastase Resistance Bain Extentioniste

This is a shampoo to stimulate growth. Activates the scalp and acts to strengthen the hair fiber. Helps to ensure a healthy and stimulated scalp for better hair growth. Kerastase’s Resistance Therapiste line is designed for extremely damaged hair: with spiky, non-glossy ends, easily twisted strands that are brittle, colorless and lifeless. The brand took ten years to develop the formula, which works by recovering hair KAPs (Keratin Associated Proteins). This is an essential protein to ensure good fiber structure. They developed it through a mix of SP94 (a KAP activator), protein, and six amino acids.
